Starting as two separate outdated office buildings in a prime location, Shields Construction built a center structure to link the 2 buildings. The structure required careful calculations and detailing to align the floors and transitions. The center contains a 3 story atrium lobby with a cantilevered monumental staircase, new walkway balconies, and new elevators. The exterior facade was re-clad in glass curtainwall with architectural aluminum features, while the building was occupied. In addition, 50% of the interior was fitout for new tenants.
